C-LARA

The advent of ChatGPT has led to radical change in the development of second language learning software. Chat’s linguistic capacity combined with its knowledge of languages and excellent coding skills means that high quality content and good spaces in which to use that content can be developed very quickly. The old LARA was clunky in all respects, with an inadequate code base which was unmaintainable. It’s a whole new ball game now that Chat exists.

Though there are people involved in C-LARA’s development around the world, the core developers are Manny Rayner and Chat who are carrying on a fruitful collaboration. So many interesting things happening and some of them will be documented here.
