Here’s a quick roundup of what’s been happening this week:
Melbourne student projects
There has been considerable progress on the Melbourne student projects.
- Manual Text/Audio Alignment. We are now very close to having everything linked up between the C-LARA and Melbourne sides. This project can hopefully be used as a model for integrating the other Melbourne Uni projects.
- Annotated images. A lot of the functionality required to integrate annotated image information on the C-LARA side is now in place. The rest of it should be there soon.
Alex says that the student presentation today (Wed Oct 18) were extremely encouraging.
Memory and plugins
The Papr Memory plugin continues to help Chat a great deal with maintaining continuity, but access times have gone way up. It can take several minutes to respond, and the situation seems to be getting worse. I have sent the provider a message on LinkedIn.
We have continued our discussion with the provider of the AskTheCode plugin, who has some powerful new features in the pipeline.
In general, it’s great to see that the plugin ecology is so vibrant and fast-moving.
