C-LARA logo

I decided to have a go at talking to Chat about a C-LARA logo, not liking the ones Manny posted yesterday. The ideas I got back are all fabulous in their way and I suspect that they all have a place. Note that the drawing program used by Chat is bad at spelling. It may be that this needs to be fixed by hand.

This first one looks surprisingly good shrunk to 10%:

And for something which is sophisticated, rather than quirky:

Next I asked Chat for something more like a line drawing or even stick figure. I love all of these. If only the blasted drawing program it uses could do spelling 😦

This last one in full size and at 10%:

and finally, this has nice themes for C-LARA and it’s even managed to spell it correctly. I like the way the fountain pen nib looks a bit like a USB plugged in, combining old and new technology.

  1. I could happily go with either one of the final pair. They are both quite striking and look good shrunk to thumbnail size, which is how they would most often appear.

    1. Majority of images are really good!!!
It is really difficult to decide which one to use. May be we should ask someone with background in UI and UX to look over the images and give us an advise?

      1. If you check the UniSA site you’ll see I’ve already installed “Nib”, which is the current front-runner – I thought it would be useful to get an idea of what it looked like in situ. Replacing it is just a question of putting the image somewhere accessible and editing the base template to point to it.
