More progress on layout and formatting…
Right-to-left languages
As Chadi pointed out yesterday, rendering in right-to-left languages was seriously broken. Chat and I have done the following:
- Fixed a simple bug that had blocked the dir=rtl declaration in the rendered HTML – this is why the periods were turning up at the beginning of a sentence rather than at the end.
- Added a margin around the text, which in general should mitigate the problem of gloss popups getting cut off.
- For the specific case of RTL languages, we now align the gloss popup with the right hand side of the word (i.e. the beginning) rather than with the left.
As far as I can tell, things are now working – but I have no feeling at all for RTL languages, so please let me know if further adjustments are needed 🙂
Logo and link to C-LARA website
I have installed the “nib” logo that Cathy and Chat made yesterday – everyone who has expressed an opinion is very positive! If we come up with something even better, it’s trivial to change it. Here’s what things look like now:

More suggestions please, I’m sure we’re not there yet!
